Description
Another Animation Retargeting Bug!
If a Motor6D or AnimationConstraint is set up to do certain changes e.g. to the Orientation on a Character, while the constraint is a descendant of the Character, for some reason it will transform and deform the Character, as long the constraint is parented under the Character.
If the Constraint is disabled it will not undo the deformation. It has to be moved out of the Character. (such as :Destroy() or parenting it to Workspace)
If you parent a HumanoidRigDescription under the Character, then it will stop the deformation as well.
This issue is similar to the missing limbs bug, but this one seems to have a different cause, and is also still broken while DFFlagFixRetargetingMissingLimbs is enabled.
Re-production Steps
There is a Video in the Private Message along with a Place File.
The Place File has two buttons that clones a container which holds the constraint and puts it under your character and then disables it and then re-parents it to demonstrate that it only breaks if it is under the character.
Expected Result
I didn’t even expect that it TRANSFORMS the entire avatar. It literally transformed it, instead of acting like a “weld”.
Actual Result
For some reason it transforms the avatar. Anchored is not really a requirement. This bug was found while a game was parenting an object under a character to “hold it” (not a good idea to parent things under the character in this case as it messes up bounding box anyways, but that’s how this bug was discovered)
