Animation Smoothing causes animation to start weirdly

I am trying to make a certain animation play when you’re sprinting while holding a sword, I got that to work but when you start the sprint the arm rotates in a weird way

I’ve tried moving the arm around in the animation editor but it keeps rotating backwards
The animation priority is Action if that helps

If you aren’t holding the sword while sprinting then taking it down it doesn’t switch to the animation, i haven’t done that part yet so I don’t know if it works properly

Try using a Motor6D, to attach your sword to the Rig’s left arm.

The sword is done using a tool

Just added the animation when you switch to the sword mid sprint, still does it

Weird, I think you should delete the animation forthe sword, and just edit it’s grip…

That’s not the goal, there’s separate animations for if you’re holding a weapon or not. I also figured out the issue I just don’t know how to fix it. The issue is because there’s also the normal running animation playing under the animation for sprinting with the sword while it smooths into the sword one its still trying to move the arm in the same way as the original sprint animation, I don’t know how to fix this
