This started occurring on the most recent version of Roblox Studio. Our Animator sent us a message today that any animation he imports was upside down. We tried importing some Roblox animations that we know worked in the past, and they too were now upside down.
We just rolled out a new animation import backend that’s causing some of these problems. We’re actively investigating these issues. There is no ETA yet on a resolution.
@orange451 We’ve decided to rollback the animation changes for now until we fix this. Your import should work shortly after the changes propagate (You can take a shot early tomorrow).
It looks like this issue happens mostly when importing animations without the mesh attached - importing with the mesh sometimes works, but keyframes can still be upside-down depending on export settings.
For reference, exporting with these settings sometimes fixes the problem:
Do you mind sending me an asset that still has this issue with these export settings? We havent been able to repro the issue with these settings. You can message it to me directly if thats easier.
Having the same issue its EXTREMELY ANNOYING! Tried every solution I could find on the forums nothing works. From what ive found, importing a rig that has multiple separate objects on it is causing it to flip. Meanwhile importing a rig where its only 1 single object works fine. Still havent found found a fix however
Our animator is having this issue as of the latest Studio update. I’m still able to import animations correctly, but any that he imports onto the same rig end up flipped 180. This is absolutely devastating to our workflow.
