Animations Don't Work For Other Devs In Group Game

So, I’m making a game with my friend, we were doing it in my personal game. And when it comes to animations we got into problem with sanitized id error, so I do some research, and some says it because the animations have to get posted on a group in order to work so I did so. Here some notes:

  • We have a Roblox group (I’m the owner, my friend has permission).
  • I’ve created a game as a group.
  • I imported the dummy that have the animations to the group game and reupload the animations as a group (Like yesterday 6/7/2025).

The problem still happens when my friend play test the game, the animation won’t work and output the sanitized error. But the animations work fine when I play test the game. Is it the Roblox fault or is it just me doing something wrong? I’ve seen so many people having the same problem and somehow they fixed it, I try to do the same but its not working for me…

are you 100% sure that when you upload the animation, you set the creator to the group?

your wording is just a little confusing, so i want to make sure.

maybe you can send the animation ids so us forumers can check it?

When you re-uploaded the Animations to the group, did you make sure to change the IDs in the game to the new IDs of the re-uploaded group Animations?

Yes i did change the ids in the script to use the new ids

I have this issue no matter what, but atleast they work in the actual game :pray:
