I’m assuming you’re making a realistic train simulator of some sort.
For the acronyms, I would just change a letter or two. I wouldn’t even sweat about what the new acronym even means. Some examples would be BMSF or EN.
“North Folk Southern,” “Satan Fe / Santa Faith,” “Chuggington Northern / Bring-a-ton Northern.”
