Anyone else seeing huge memory increases on their client?

Hey fellas, I began to notice this problem maybe about a few months ago when every game I’d join/go into studio the memory jumped at least a good 500mb. I first noticed it when my game was hovering around 1300 in the lobby, but about 1700/1800 in the most intensive map in my game.

Now, yes I understand having large maps and unnecessary details will wreck performance I’ll get back to continually work on it again. But lemme show you a few other examples in different games:

Criminal vs Swat, a pretty basic game created in 2015 with only like 20k parts across a 600 by 600 stud map, used to hover around 1100mb last year, but nearly doubled in this screenshot:

Another example: Car Crushers 2, I’ll be honest i haven’t checked prior memory before this screenshot but it’s oddly about the same as CvS:

Rivals, byfar the most popular example is even hovering over 2200mb in the lobby:

I’m not exactly sure what’s causing all of these memory issues to jump so much in 2025, I know that Roblox has been increasing its overall memory consumption that somehow even a baseplate I just created somehow has memory over 1400mb

Has anyone else experienced this massive uptick in the client eating up so much memory? I wonder if an issue on my side as every single game I join these days easily eat up 500-600 more mb compared to last year.

Same thing we me. I have a game that barely has anything, aside from some systems and small map, and it is reaching 2k memory easily

EDIT: The game is not published, it’s not even done

It’s so odd, i think it started to increase drastically at around January, at first i thought i messed something up and downloaded something stupid but that might not be the case.
