So I’m currently making a phone ui after an iPhone 12 and wanted to add a apple maps app to the phone but its pretty perplexing to me on how other people do it script wise and gui wise
in total i want to make something like Perris, California’s apple maps, the main thing I’m confused on is how the roads are made in the map, ill try to provide pictures to help better explain.
and would also know someone’s thoughts on how to make a similar waypoint system to theirs
If what you’re trying to do is add a “suggested route” system, as if you’re going on a drive and need it to tell you the directions of each road, that’s called the Travelling Salesman Problem and it’s one of the most notoriously difficult programming challenges. Granted, an in-game one won’t be quite as challenging as real life ones as real life roads are far more complicated, long and have traffic data too.
