Information

I have over 30,000,000 place visits combined over the past 2 1/2 years. I’ve been working on a project for 6 months and right before the game was ready to release my programmer quit roblox. I’m looking for a dedicated and experienced programmer to complete this short project which should only take 1-2 weeks.

The game is already complete aside from gamepasses, dev products and one bug fix. The map is complete but will be kept separate from the scripts until release. All marketing content including thumbnails, icons and ads are also done. Our marketing budget for the game’s release is 200-300k R$.

About The Job

This is a unique simulator project that has never been done before.The core game itself is complete and the entire project is 90% done, we’re just looking for an experienced programmer to fix a bug that gives experience to all players in the game when someone gains experience. Then add gamepasses and dev products. You will have a backup programmer who will be working on the small things like zone doors, teleporters, quests and other small things.

The original programmer who quit roblox before doing the gamepasses is willing to help explain how the code works and where to find certain things to help you adjust to the project.

Payment

I am paying 100k R$ on completion of the bug fix, gamepasses, and dev products. You will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement before being hired or told any more information about the project. For maintenance of the game and updates I will pay 30% of the games profits after advertisement expenses are accounted for. If you are hired you will be a partner on the project with myself (lead graphic designer and creative director) and the lead builder. We’ll split the profits 3 ways. Percentage of profits can be paid through R$ or in money.

Relating to your requirement of 3-5+ years of lua experience, I have a suggestion.

I don’t think that you should require direct experience as much as you should look into their physical ability, because although experience does tend to mean they’re better at scripting, it doesn’t mean that a more “experienced” scripter is a better scripter. So ideally for you, to attract the most applications have what you actually require (i.e ability to use datastores, optimizing raycasted combat, etc) as opposed to just raw experience.
