Some Arabic words with explicit meanings are not being filtered correctly by Roblox’s moderation system This Allow offensive content to bypass chat filters and remain visible in games and titles
One example is a game titled هات و هات Althought this phrase might translate directly to give and take it is widely understood in Arabic slang as referring to sexual acts This give the game meaning that clearly violated Roblox’s community standards
In this game players are also able to type extremely inappropriate Arabic slang terms such as كص and كصمك and كص امك and more these words refer to female genitalia and are commonly and as explicit insults or in sexual contexts
These words currently go unfilitered by Roblox translate system and thinking it’s a normal words making it possible for usersto abuse them without restriction
This creates a harmful enviroment for arabic-speaking players especially children and undermines the effectiveness of content moderation in arabic regions and create a toxic comminuty and because of this Roblox’s reputation among Arabs began to be distorted as it’s considered inappropriate for children
There are many Arab countries that have started to completely ban Roblox from this country because some Arab developers specifically do not care about the game content and do not have control over the servers. The issue has become a little worrying because I am one of the Arab developers, but the content of my games is cars, and the game may be banned in my country because there is not enough control from the designer or the Roblox company itself, and I understand this because it is a completely new community on Roblox, as you indicated in your announcement that it is a (هات وهات) game. It may seem like I give you and you give me, but the meaning in Arab society may be sexual. I hope that Roblox will improve Arab societies so that children are in a healthy environment.
