- What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
- I want to properly play/use the animation I have created to my Character.
- What is the issue? Include screenshots / videos if possible!
- The arm rotation is different from the Animation I created. I’m currently trying to create a simple hanging (hang to a pole or any part) animation.
Here’s the sample video of the Animation when played in the Animation Editor:
You will also see the exact X, Y, and Z rotation of the LeftUpperArm at the end of the video.
Now, here’s a sample video when I used the animation with my Character in game:
You will see, that the Left Arm of the character is not the same with the Animation at the top.
If needed, here’s the simple script that I used to trigger the animation when the ProximityPrompt is triggered:
local Trigger : ProximityPrompt = Pole:WaitForChild("Trigger")
local HangingAnimation = Instance.new("Animation")
HangingAnimation.AnimationId = "http://www.roblox.com/asset/?id=93393288319648"
Trigger.Triggered:Connect(function(player: Player)
local character = player.Character or player.CharacterAdded:Wait()
if not character then return end
local humanoid = character:FindFirstChildWhichIsA("Humanoid")
local animator : Animator = humanoid:WaitForChild("Animator")
local hangingAnimTrack = animator:LoadAnimation(HangingAnimation)
if hangingAnimTrack then
hangingAnimTrack:Play()
end
end)
- What solutions have you tried so far?
- I have tried setting the X rotation to 180 in all keyframes, -180, redo the whole animation.
- I did also tried to search if someone already encounter this problem but can’t seem to find one.
