Hey everyone!
I’ve been working on a realistic assassin character model and wanted to share my progress with the community.
This character is designed with a dark, stealthy fantasy aesthetic, featuring layered armor, a hooded cloak, and detailed textures to give it a grounded yet mysterious look. The model was created and rendered in Blender, and it’s fully optimized for potential use in Roblox games or cinematic scenes.
Features
Detailed armor and clothing layers
Realistic cloth and leather materials
Hooded assassin style with a tactical, fantasy vibe
I find the lighting too harsh, but the model overall and the rig look great. I can’t comment on the topology of the model without seeing the verts. As for the texturing/material work, it’s nice, but too reflective imo. Maybe that’s just the lighting, but the textures also appear blurry and not too sharp.
It’s quite difficult to say much on any aspect with just the two screenshots, and only one showing the texturing.
The post itself reads as AI-generated with the use of lists, emojis, and general formatting. This makes me assume English isn’t your first language, but also makes me question what part of the 3d model is yours or assisted/made with AI. A disclaimer on any of those aspects would be great.
It says that it is blender and substance painter which don’t use ai.
I believe the textures are blurry/reflective looking because he reimported the textures back into blender instead of taking a screenshot of substance painter. Probably for the dramatic lighting.
I think it’s a very advanced model, especially for Roblox.
He should be given a pet, cause that’d be awesome, it’d add to the character.
I did use AI to help organize my post since I already had my main points written down, but I wanted it to look a bit cleaner and easier to read. The model itself is fully mine though. I used the sculpt feature in Blender for most of it, so the topology isn’t the best. The textures are kind of the same story since Roblox doesn’t always handle high quality textures very well, at least from my experience.
Because of Roblox’s triangle limit, I originally made the model with more detail and then decimated (lowered the quality) so it would fit the upload requirements. That’s probably why some of the smaller details got lost or the model isn’t as clean.
I see what you mean about the lighting. I was trying to go for a darker, shadowy vibe since I imagine the character moving more in the dark, but I can see how it might come off a bit harsh. Also for the part about the character being shiny I did change that, I found that problem and tweaked it after I already uploaded it. I’ll definitely try and get some updated photos into the forum when I have time.
Yeah I think a pet would look sick, maybe like some cool wolf or something like a monkey.. honestly idk but I was definitely thinking about something like that.
