Asset Configuration list no longer sorts assets as expected

I am reporting this issue with confirmation from various people, the asset configuration list is completely randomized with none of the assets displayed being the most recent, it also displays my own assets if I try and view a group’s pair of assets, and sometimes even assets I didn’t create show up on this list, where attempting to publish through them gives me an error.

Roughly around the night of July 8th, a possible Roblox Studio update has caused the sorting functionality to break which has hindered my ability to publish assets for a game I help develop on. No exact timeframe but I’d say sometime after 6PM EDT.

Please see the screenshots provided below!

This is the model I tried publishing through

(Trying through a group I have the ability to access assets through) Models like ones I myself have created and even other people’s models I don’t own at all display through groups more often.

This is the model I tried publishing through, where it is uploaded by my main account, and not the group.

7/10 Update: Uploading a brand-new asset did not fix this issue for me.

Hope so too, when I found this out last night I really thought it would’ve went away by now but somehow it hasn’t

I also experience this issue (Only the “FE2MapTest” model is in the correct spot, everything else isn’t)

I have a feeling something got messed up on the Asset Configuration’s API or something that hasn’t been noticed, sometimes it’d randomize on me but going out and back in-to the window or using the group dropdown and switching back and forth fixed the issue for me, but this appears to be something more widespread if it’s consistently happening and not going back to normal once, especially if it’s also happening to multiple users at the same time as well.

Hope this gets fixed soon, it’s seriously affecting my workflow and content updating pipeline.

Replying again; how could such a big issue go unnoticed by Staff for over 2 days? This is concerning and affects my workflow for a bunch of my own projects; I can’t do as much as I was able to while this remains an issue.

This post needs more traction. Any form of likes & replies should help boost this, so please do your part if you can, everyone! This needs attention!

They probably missed it or haven’t gotten around to this yet, hopefully soon but doubt it.

Hey @Cam0Dev,

Thanks for reporting this! We’re aware of what’s causing this issue and working on a fix now. I’ll post again once I have an update.

Hey @Cam0Dev,

This should be fixed now. You will need to restart Studio for this to take effect.

Thanks!

Hi @StickOmega1!

There was a fix pushed a couple weeks ago, however unfortunately the original bug has came back. The asset configurations page is not organizing the most recent models which is affecting our workflow for an upcoming update we are wanting to push. Could this be looked into?

Thank you

EDIT: I just found out if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page, it will reorganize and fix the page, however, we have thousands of models which is still inconvenient.

Hi @blazryn,

Do you mind sharing a video recording or a screenshot of what you’re seeing? and can you share with me in DM or in reply for the user ids that this is happening for?
