Asset Controller Plugin - Optimize and synchronize MeshParts with ease

About

Allows you to synchronize MeshPart properties such as RenderFidelity, CollisionFidelity, CanCollide, CanQuery, CanTouch, and DoubleSided amongst all MeshParts sharing the same ID within the game. The menu only displays MeshParts currently in workspace, but modifying them modifies all MeshParts of the same ID throughout the game. Red indicates that the part has not yet been modified, green indicates that at least one property has been modified.

Once a MeshPart has been modified, its new modified properties are stored internally, mapped to the MeshId. Whenever a mesh of the same MeshId is added to the game, its properties are updated.

The plugin interface is automatically updated to support both light and dark mode.

Please note that due to the nature of this plugin, if your game has tens of thousands of MeshParts you may experience significant delays whenever you refresh the plugin. The plugin is automatically refreshed the first time you enable the plugin by clicking its toolbar icon.

Mesh optimization tools are used to visually show the plugin synchronizing MeshPart properties, these are not apart of the Asset Controller plugin.

This plugin looks useful, but could you make it so that it can also show the meshes within a selected model within a game rather having it display than every mesh in studio?

I’m currently trying to optimize this city game and I only want to modify the buildings that are behind these invisible barriers I set, so it would be useful if that was added in tbh.

It also sorta freezes up sometimes while using it, so that might be another thing to fix.
