I don’t think the developers forgot this or left it out on purpose, but I really miss being able to hover the mouse between tabs and resize the viewing area. Notice that I can’t read the full asset name, and the lack of a function to adjust the viewing area seems quite odd.
My request is simple: please add an option—like the ones found throughout Studio (or in any app with tabs)—to hover between tabs and change the space each one occupies, in order to improve readability.
I really believe the dev team can get this done in a few minutes, since this option is available throughout the studio.
They technically do have it, but there has been a bug forever where you have to resize the window, and then it lets you resize the columns (this is also ignoring the UX issue where the mouse icon doesn’t change on hover, so you don’t even know you can resize it). Hopefully this workaround works for y’all as well
Indeed, if you click exactly on the pixel between the columns, you can drag to resize the area. Unfortunately, they didn’t add a visual UI element to indicate that resizing is possible. Thank you!
I am updating my suggestion to include a UI icon that visually informs the user that the area can be resized.
