Atlantic Hurricane Simulator - September 2018 Updates
What’s new:
September 23:
- Completely remade the landfall system to be more precise and efficient.
- Added a new badge to earn
- Added the 2023 Atlantic hurricane season / deprecated 2017
September 22:
- A menu that lets you control the ocean temperature!
- New badge achievements to get!
September 19:
- The Fujiwhara effect! When two cyclones interact with each other, they can now merge. The weaker storm will be absorbed into the stronger storm, creating an even larger hurricane!
- Added San Salvador, El Salvador
- Added two new badges to earn!
September 17:
- The ocean surface temperature system has been remade to be more realistic
- Storms now form in more realistic locations
September 16:
- Hurricane tracks are significantly more realistic.
- Cape Verde type hurricane tracks are more common.
- The map style has been overhauled to be realistic. You can change back to the old map using the new “Change Map” feature listed under the Controls menu.
- A new night theme is available, showing the Atlantic ocean at night with city lights.
- Added Praia, Cape Verde and improved Iceland to be more realistic
- Beautified the paths left behind by hurricanes
- Fixed stationary storms; it is no longer possible for hurricanes to temporarily stall in one place
