Attempting to transform a part in a rig transforms every other part instead

I’m trying to animate a custom rig I made and for some reason, whenever I try to rotate the head, it seems to rotate all the other parts instead as if the head is locked in place (although it’s not anchored or anything). Rotating other parts other than the head seems to not give this result apparently.

I’ve been following tutorials on making rigs and I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong, so far I haven’t seen anyone else having this problem.

What do I do to fix this?

is your model head a humanoidrootpart?

Nope, the HumanoidRootPart is separate from the head, and covers the torso.

can you show me the rig that you put on your custom model?

You mean this?

no i mean like do you use the moon editor plugin and show me the rig looks like

Oh, I didn’t use that plugin. Do I need to use that plugin in order to fix this?

if i were you i should yes because it really help you make a good moving custom model and if you wanna learn how to rig it here is the video

if you try this i think it look different

Okay, thanks, I’ll try it out to see if it works.

I realised what went wrong with my rig, I didn’t attach a motor onto the HumanoidRootPart. After doing that it finally works fine.

and that why to make much more easier is using moon editor
