ATURA TRANSPORT SIMULATOR TRAFFIC LAWS
Established by SPycre
Thoses laws will determine how any player should behave while driving on our main game Atura Transport Simulator.
No players may ignore any of those laws
Summary:
- Speed limitations and speed cameras
- Intersections and priority
- Traffic direction and lanes
Speed limitations and speed cameras
As Atura Transport Simulator is a driving game, it obviously have its own speeding limitations and rules to ensure a better gameplay and a more realistic experience while driving. Speed on Atura is an important subject to understand, as it has some very specific rules applied to it.
Speeding
On Atura Transport Simulator, it is necessary to understand that, even if speeding is tolerated, players have the obligation to respect speed limits when asked by a staff member. It is also important to note that Distance and Money gain are disabled at high speed, to prevent abuses.
Speed Limitations
Speed limitation may vary depending the road and even the vehicle, this is why its important to understand the basics of speed limitations. Here’s a simple list to help understand speed limitations in Atura Transport Simulator :
- Inside of a city, speed limitation is 50 km/h for any vehicle, unless the limitation is explicitely changed by signs, such as “zone 30” areas, or roads limited at 70 km/h in low density zone.
- Outside of a city, on normal roads, speed limit may vary between 70 km/h and 90 km/h. When driving outside a city, if there’s no sign telling you whats the speed limit then you may drive at 80 km/h.
- On highway / motorways, speed limit may very between 90 km/h and 130 km/h. There should always be signs to tell you whats the speed limit.
- For any vehicles others than cars, they should never exceed a speed of 90 km/h even on motorways / highways.
Speed cameras
Speed cameras are an important part of Atura when talking about speeding. They are mainly here to prevent players from speeding on highly frequented roads. Speed camera will fine players who are speeding following a specific scheme listed below :
- Speed camera have a margin of 10 km/h for limitations below 100 km/h and a margin of 12 km/h for limitations above 100 km/h.
- The fine to be applied will be 135$ for any speeding less than 30 km/h above the registered limitation.
- The fine to be applied will be 1500$ for any speeding between 30 km/h and 50 km/h above the registered limitation.
- The fine to be applied will be 3750$ for any speeding more than 50 km/h above the registered limitation.
Note that the registered limitation equals to the speed limitation + speed camera margin.
Intersections and priority
Intersections and priority are very important to understand and respect for every players, as not respecting them may causes a lot of crashes and troubles with other players. To clarify how intersections and priorities works in atura, a list of rules is etablished, detailling each type of situation / intersection.
Traffic lights
Intersections with traffic lights are the easiest to understand :
- When the light is red or orange, you have to stop before the light or the dotted line / crossroad, if possible.
- Otherwise, if the light is green, or you can’t stop in time, you are required to keep driving.
Roundabouts
Roundabouts are very important to understand, as there are many of them in the game :
- The traffic direction of every roundabout will always be counter clockwise.
- Vehicles driving on the roundabout will always have priority over vehicles incoming.
- Vehicles incoming will always have to give priority to vehicles incoming on their left.
Stops and yelds ( cedez le passage )
Stop and yields are usually found along majors roads, they are mainly used to prevent slowing down traffic on important roads, which is why respecting them is important :
- On a stop sign, the player must stop before the sign or the white line, check for any incoming vehicle and keep driving if there’s no incoming vehicle.
- On a yield sign (cédez le passage) the player must slow down and check for any incoming vehicle. If there is, then the player must stop and wait. Else he can keep driving.
Priority
- On intersection with no signs, the player will always have to give priority to the vehicle coming on its right, just like a yield sign.
- Note that on closed area, such as a parking, entering vehicles will always have to give priority to exiting vehicles, unless explicitely told otherwise by signs.
Traffic direction and lanes
Traffic and lanes direction may very depending the road to ensure better traffic. Respecting traffic direction is important to prevent crashes and troubles with other players :
Flow direction
Atura Transport Simulator is a game based on french traffic roads. Following this, some laws are applied on traffic :
- Players must always drive on the right side of the road.
- Driving on the left side on normal roads is only allowed to overtake slow vehicles, on long straight roads.
- Players must always drive on the far right lane on motorways when not overtaking.
Note that the traffic laws may be incomplete and are subject to changes in the future depending on player’s behaviours.
