This issue started happening a few weeks ago. At one point in time it was working.
All my developers are under a role that is granted all of the new “Asset permissions”. Despite this, none of them can see the group’s inventory under Asset Manager (they are able to view it on the website). More importantly, my audio guy can no longer bulk import audio at all. Bulk importing meshes and decals works just fine.
Their role has edit permissions to a specific place that they upload into. As stated, meshes and decals work fine despite not being able to view the group inventory. Audio has recently stopped working
Hi! Sorry for the delay on this
I’m happy to say that we have a fix for the visibility issue with seeing groups where you have the “Asset Permissions” roleset. This fix will roll out in the coming week or so!
As for the audio issue, would you be able to provide more information so we can try to reproduce it? Specifically, the permissions available to your audio guy’s role, and the details of the experience he’s uploading into (who owns the experience, etc).
[EDIT] I was able to reproduce the issue! Will continue investigating, thanks for the patience
+1 to @tasavix if we could get more information on the permissions scenario in general.
For the meantime, our current suggestion is either:
(1) Utilize the audio upload web ui on the creator dashboard here.
(2) Utilize the asset upload api endpoint here. This will be particularly helpful you have many files you’re trying to upload and need a quick way to do so.
Aside, we’re in the process of revamping the bulk-importer in H1 next year. This new bulk-importer should solve all the problems you’re facing with audio permissions.
Sorry I missed this, have been very busy on a Halloween update. I see that you’ve said you are able to replicate the bug now but if you still need additional information please let me know.
