I’m posting here because there’s an issue with the Roblox Premium subscription that I believe is a system bug, and I want to know if anyone else has experienced something similar. I brought this issue up on Guilded as well, and it seems like this bug has been active for over 6 months. Roblox stated that this issue was resolved & fixed. Clearly it isn’t, and if it was fixed, I wouldn’t have received these message(s) on my e-mail & in the Roblox 'Messages’ tab:
I did wrote a ticket to Roblox Support, but they claimed that the payment was declined. However, this explanation doesn’t make sense for the following reasons:
- Auto-renewal was enabled on my account.
- My credit/debit card had sufficient funds at the time of renewal.
- Card details (number, CVV, expiration date) were correct and up-to-date.
- I did not cancel the subscription manually.
- There were no transaction attempts or failed charges on my card at all. The system never tried to renew the subscription in the first place.
From what I think, the auto-renewal system failed to trigger entirely, and not due to any user-side payment issue. I’ve since asked them to escalate this, but I believe more visibility is needed in case this is affecting others too, which I’m pretty sure it is happening now to many of us.
If you’ve had a similar issue where Premium didn’t renew (despite having auto-renewal enabled and no valid reason for payment failure) please share & acknowledge below. Hopefully Roblox will look into this more seriously if enough users report it.
