The settings in the in-game main Roblox menu “Automatic Chat Translation” and “Option to View Untranslated Message” get turned off if you join a game that has TextChatService’s Auto Translation disabled, and the settings stay off even if you join a game where this feature is enabled.
Steps:
- Join a game with AutoTranslation enabled for the TextChat and turn on “Automatic Chat Translation” and “Option to View Untranslated Message” in the in-game settings.
- Join a game that does not have AutoTranslation enabled. These settings get forced off.
- Rejoin a game with AutoTranslation enabled. The settings are still off and you have to manually turn them on again every time.
(This has been tested on the desktop application launched from the browser website)
Expected behavior
I expect the “Automatic Chat Translation” and “Option to View Untranslated Message” to stay on permanently when I turn them on.
