Automatically "Mute" topics created by an "Ignored" user

Ignoring a user on the forum by going to their profile and setting notification level to “Ignored” will hide their posts, but it will not hide their created topics. This essentialy forces us to enter the topic in order to manually “Mute” it and hide it completly. I would really appreciate a way to automatically “Mute” topics created by “Ignored” users.

Yes please, I’ve ignored them for a reason. Don’t want to see their posts!

Just an example, haven’t actually ignored that person.

Every day I manually mute 1-3 topics made by ignored people because they show up on the front page. These topics should not be showing, they’re posted by people I’ve ignored!

(edit): Come on, I can already tell they are ignored.

Since these people won’t be suspended, we should be able to hide them for ourselves. But no, my home page is still flooded with these every day.

then just don’t click them

i also wonder why you have that person blocked, seems like you guys just block everyone atp

“Dont click them” just isnt a viable solution. We dont want to see them in the first place. Keyword “see”.

Personally, I “ignore” everyone who trollposts or spread misinformation intentionally. This does happen to be a lot of people.

+1, would be great if there was a proper “block” option that completely hides their posts and replies, disallows them from interacting with my posts (apart from viewing and flagging for obvious reasons) and doesn’t show the “n replies from muted users” under replies either.

A proper block feature should be standard with every website that has social features. Old websites knew how to do it, so why did it become some lost art?

Also, why you got to do the homie kaelen like that

you jinxed it and @1kaelen1 got banned forever im still in tears.

Also yes this feature is good because yes because it needs A because proper block feature.

FYI looks like something is finally in the pipeline to solve this problem:
