I used to have an Hair item on my Roblox Avatar.
Suddenly, I noticed that when I joined games I didn’t have any hair on.
Going to the avatar select, I noticed in the little avatar viewport on the left that I had my old hair still on; when I refreshed, though, they were gone.
The thing is that I didn’t receive any message from Roblox regarding the avatar product (e.g. the item has been removed from the marketplace etc.), unlike the (recent) past.
I’m pretty sure I didn’t miss any message or warning about the removal of the avatar product.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Expected behavior
I expected to see my normal hair in-game and in the inventory.
this isn’t an engine bug, it’s a web/catalog moderation delay.
99% of the time this happens, the UGC hair you were wearing got hit with a DMCA strike or was deleted by moderation. the reason you still saw it in the small preview window initially is just localized caching. once you refreshed, the cache cleared, synced with the servers, and realized the asset was dead.
as for why u didn’t get a warning or a robux refund message in your inbox yet: roblox’s automated refund system is notoriously slow. the physical mesh/texture gets nuked instantly, but the automated script that sends the inbox warning and issues the robux refund can take days or even weeks to catch up. you didn’t miss a message; the system is just lagging behind. the item is gone, u just have to wait for the refund.
