2022/2/9 v0.9.1b Hotfix: Fixed color designs for pushers not applying at all.
2021/9/5 v0.9.1a Hotfix: Fixed tools being unequippable once any player in the server leaves.

2021/9/4 v0.9.1

  • Now you can press ‘=’ to drop accessories+hats, and then touch them to reequip them just like in ye olden times! (but now you aren’t limited wearing just one) :3
    There are a couple secret changes made with this feature in mind. :o
  • Pumped balls + duck head balls in The Crusherator are lighter:
    • Ball mass scales linearly with size now.
    • e.g. Fully pumped balls are now only 2x the mass of regular balls instead of 8x.
  • Duck water splashing sounds from v0.9 are now much less buggy and volume scales with impact force now.
  • The chat window is now resizable + message history is expanded to 200 1,000 messages instead of just 50.
  • Bugfixes:
    • Glass (finally) consistently makes sound on break instead of maybe 65% of the time.
    • Balls are once again heavy and hard to move when in mud.
      Apparently this has been broken for at least a year if not two. :grimacing:
  • Fixed these bugs introduced in v0.9:
    • Glass once again breaks consistently on a ball’s first hit.
    • The XP Bar no longer tells you that you’ve earned like 4,000 XP (or however much you have) after your save data loads.

2021/8/31 v0.9 Balls Redropped (TEST SERVER release on 8/24)

  • The internal code for much of the game has been (finally) revamped. Not too much has changed gameplay-wise in this version, but…
    • It makes the next major release possible. :3
    • My code not being a tangled mess will make development go faster.
    • While working on it, I made these nice changes:
  • Practice Area Ducks:
    • You can now make them jump and drink water while riding them!
    • No more painful input lag when driving!
    • They now cute-ily waddle as they swim :3
    • They move 16% slower on their own to make them a bit easier to catch.
  • Ducks EVERYWHERE:
    • Ducks now have zero turning radius and no longer swing all over the place as you turn.
    • You can now make them drink water (and go poopoo) as well. :O
    • Oh crap: they go poopoo for 2x as long now.
    • OH SHEEP: Just like sheep, when ducks die, their intestines explode and whatever poop they were carrying comes out. Mmmmmmm… poop.
    • They also have different voices + actually splash in water now.
  • Duck Shot [EXPERIMENTAL CHANGES]:
    • Change 1) Renaming it to: Duckpocalypse :0
    • Change 2) Balls are no longer deadly until they freeze, but frozen balls now expand 5x as fast.
    • Change 3) You can hold down the [left mouse button] to shoot as well as [shift].
      (my pinkie finger rejoices!)
    • Not experimental: You can finally shoot custom balls and ball FX!
    • Also Not experimental: You can make your duck [Q]uack now!
  • Round lengths have changed:
	 60 → 56 Sword Battle       (to time it with the end of the song)
	 60 → 76 Every other mode   (to reduce anti-climactic ties)

(These times will show up in-game as 55 and 75 cuz the new timer counts 0 as a second bc I liek it that way better)

  • [EXPERIMENTAL CHANGE] Deflating the leveling system to make higher levels more meaningful
    • It takes exactly 5x as much XP to level up than before.
      • XP awarded per match is unchanged.
    • Big FYI: The game stores how much XP you’ve ever earned, so this is not a level reset, and I can revert or change the level up rate again if need be.
    • To be in sync with the higher XP levels, the Fast Unlock Pass now unlocks 5 levels worth of pushers instead of 10.
      • Ironically, this actually buffs it, as shown in the chart below.
    • All pushers and some cosmetics won’t take any longer to unlock than before:

  • Pumper Pusher:
    • Balls pumped by 2+ people no longer auto-inflate faster than if pumped by 1 person.
  • A Brand new leaderboard to replace Roblox’s own:
    • Includes basic info on the state of the current match (how much time is left, if it is loading, if it just finished, etc.).
    • Has a break mode toggle built-in instead of being buried in a menu. It even works mid-match now. :0
    • Comes with Zen Mode. When turned on, it hides level up and experience info throughout the game’s interface to get it out of the way for people who just want to play the game and aren’t concerned with leveling up bollocks.
  • Map Explosions:
    • Maps have more ways to explode at the end of the round for more pointlessly dramatic drama!
    • They explode without looking jerky because the code runs on the client now.
  • Psuedo-first person mode has been removed to (ironically) reduce player annoyance of there not being an actual first person mode.
    • (The actual first person mode is still available in Epik 5owrd b4TTeL though.)
  • A lot of the interface looks nicer:
    • There are smexy new match loading screens that show the upcoming map coming together.
    • Results are cleaner and literally drip XP into your XP bar.
    • Stopwatch now emits colored rings as match time runs out + has an animated push in-out button just like a real stopwatch!
  • Added classic roblox safe chat cuz why not!
  • Subdivision: All tools are now allowed. (It turns out that they don’t break the stage (enough) after all!)
  • You can now click to drop balls thru the chat window and on parts covered by water.
  • A metric ton of other minor fixes, tweaks, and bugs have also been added.

2021/7/25 v0.8.4.1

  • Hotfix: The camera bug that caused cameras to get stuck ~75% of the time when entering the match has been fixed.

2020/8/1 v0.8.4

  • NEW Super Shield Pusher added:
    • It’s like the Super Hax pusher, but shorter, larger, and shaped like a shield.
    • As such, it’s better for blocking balls and for pushing large ball piles out of the way. But keep in mind that its range is much shorter than the Super Hax.
  • Level unlocks for pushers have been changed as follows:
    * Ordinary Pusher renamed to Straight Pusher because it’s always been the internal name and I think it’s more accurate.
	  1 → 1 *Straight
	  5 → 4  Super Hax
	  9 → 7  Grapple
	 13 → 10 Pump
	    → 13 Shield
	 17 → 17 Air Loons
	 21 → 21 Boots
  • NEW Fun and amusing loading screen:
    • try it for yourself to experience the whimsy :3
    • omg there’s now 1 loading screen instead of two, what a fudgeing concept
    • it should now consistently let players pick their new ball color… which was an issue that literally took me took >17 months to bother to fix → why did i not do this earlier DX
  • Minor bugfix stuff:
    • The big red X that pushes you back in bounds is actually not invisible again + is BIGGER.
    • Bloop Boots now support actual materials, so now its rust design actually looks like rust.
    • Summit + Crispy’s Sky Temple: Adjusted out of bounds areas to be less dumb.

2020/7/15

  • BETA version of the Super Shield Pusher debuted on the test server today!

2020/7/12 v0.8.3.3

  • Duck Shot: Clothes on the ducks should now always equip in the right place.
    • Some of the clothes will still clip a little bit, but there’s not much I can do about that.
    • Support for chest/waist/back clothing is complete now.
  • Some changes to das 3pik 5w0rd B4ttl3:
    • The rain balls now actually drop in the same place for every player.
      • Before, the mode was a lie where every player had a different set of rain. :0
    • Rain falls from 40 studs higher, giving people more time to react to drops.
    • (An experiment) Increasing rain drop rate by 33%.
  • Grapple + Pumper Pusher additional tweaks:
    • They now take 25% less time to shoot and reel in.
    • They will no longer knock you over sometimes after reeling in.
  • When you respawn in the practice area, it now puts you at the spawn you were closest to when you died.
