Ban Reason Misspelling

Note: This screenshot is not mine.

The ban reason for cheating is not spelt correctly.

It spells “Cheat and Exploits,” when it should be “Cheats and Exploits.” The word “Cheat” is supposed to be plural, the same way the word “Exploits” is.

It’s been like this ever since Hyperion was introduced. Therefore, every single ban that was for cheating should have this mistake.

Well, I’m going to say it from my knowledge, “Cheat and Exploits” is grammatically inconsistent, as “Cheat” should indeed be pluralised to match “Exploits” making the correct phrasing “Cheats and Exploits”

Anyways, this minor but persistent typo has been present in ban messages ever since the Hyperion anti-cheat was implemented, It’s a small detail… but it reflects a lack of polish in what is otherwise a serious and official communication, it’s surprising that Roblox hasn’t corrected it yet

“We detected a modified version of Roblox was used on a device you recently played on.”

I had a stroke reading this from the ban message. This is probably grammatically wrong too.

It should be:-
“We detected that a modified version of Roblox was used on a device you recently played on.”

I can’t believe that a multi-billion dollar company like Roblox would suffer from grammatical and spelling errors. Was the ban message just typed out without being looked at? No one else checked it? The spell-checker didn’t show up?

I personally can’t take a ban message seriously if it shows up with grammatical or spelling errors :joy:

Did I disturb you with my answer or something? I was focused more on how this typo has stuck around for so long in official ban messages which CAN be found online if you search for them and that it is surprising given how polished everything else usually is with Hyperion. My point was more about the overall and attention to detail from Roblox, not just the typo itself

The sentence you provided is grammatically correct. While your revision flows better, the original is still acceptable.
