Curious if others have encountered this problem. I’m using a Server-Client remote event to send local effects. It seems that once the received data crosses the 6 kilobyte/second line, something breaks, and the character turning doesn’t replicate to the server anymore, as well as movement not working, and more. This could possibly be due to my wifi to be honest though… Some neighbors recently had a outage, so my provider could be having bandwith issues (The timing also fits)?
Lag should not affect character movement since the network owner of the character is the player itself. I believe your second ability (that you showed) sets your walkspeed to 0. This may be the reason you are not moving, since the code is very slow or an infinite loop was made, therefore it’s not reaching the other parts of the code.
You also might be sending too much info, then the server cant handle, thus making the code very slow.
Hmm, I checked the walk speed, it stays at 16 strangely, as well as anchored parts. Strange thing is the code was also working perfectly 3 days ago, and if I revert my version to a earlier version it’s still broken, so don’t think it’s a code issue. I probably am sending too much info though.
If no one else is facing it though, it most likely is a local network issue.
Important Update: Turning off streaming enabled solved this. This seems like a Roblox bug.
