Battle Poker New game, looking for direction

I am working on a game in its early stages and I am a little lost on what to work on next which has greatly slowed productivity.

Battle Poker is a simplified version of 5 card draw poker where players try to make the best poker hand possible. Each card is represented by a monster and that monster is buffed by the overall strength of your hand. Your monsters then battle your opponent’s monsters and the winner collects the pot.

Differences to poker:
Instead of 52 cards, it uses a “Short-deck” where there are only 9 cards of each suit.
Instead of 4 suits, there are only 3.
Instead of 5 cards to use, hands are limited to 4 cards (So a straight would be 5, 6, 7, and 8)
Instead of betting players must ante and “purchase” each subsequent card they draw which then goes into the pot to be awarded to the winner of the hand.
The pot is inflated by the strength of each players’ hand, so while they are only losing a small amount each hand, when they win, they win large amounts by comparison.
Once a player loses 10 hands, they are sent back to the lobby to prevent players from being targeted and botting from ruining another player’s experience.

Gems are the premium currency and earned for each victory, but never wagered.

Any advice would be appreciated, but I really am not sure if I should focus development on one or more of the following areas:

Higher stakes
More game modes (such as teams or more players and gameplay variations)
More Items/types of items for the gem shop
Just polish (it has enough features already)
