Game

The game will start with a quick overview of the game, reminding you of the pattern sequence which will be running for the game (as covered in the Types of Game section), it will also display how many gems will be rewarded for claiming each pattern.

The game will then proceed with numbers being called. Eventually someone will complete a pattern, a pause will occur to check to see if anyone else has that pattern, and then a victory sequence will play. The game will then continue waiting for the next pattern to be called.

Once all patterns have been called, the game will end and you will be shown a summary screen giving statistics about the current game.

Objective

The objective of the game is to be the first to mark off either numbers or icons to a specified pattern.

Game Play

Calling Numbers

Numbers/icons are called periodically. Numbers called are selected at random. When numbers are called they are displayed:

  • topcall
On the top of your screen

  • On the main board
  • repeater
On the repeater screens around the game
  • Audibly by the bingo callers’ voice.

Cards

When a number is called, you should check your cards to see if the called number has been called, and if so click to mark it off.

Above your card there will be a “To Go” indicator. This indicates the minimum number of numbers needed for you to be able to call bingo. e.g. “To Go: 4”.

It will display “BINGO!” if you have just marked off a number to complete the current pattern.

Sometimes it may display “missed” if you have marked off the number, but did not mark it off in time hence invalidating your claim. Occasionally this may appear by mistake, so it’s worth trying to press the button anyway.

The number displayed is based off the current pattern, and the markings you have made. Because it is based off the markings made, if you turn off certain settings which allow you to mark in any square regardless of numbers called, it won’t display an accurate number.

Pattern

The pattern is what is made by marking of specific squares on a card. The patterns needed will vary on the game (explained in the Types of Game section) and will change as the game progresses.

You can view the patterns for the current game on the main board.

If the pattern has already been called by a player, it will be highlighted in purple. The pattern below the highlighted one will be the next one.
The grid below this list will cycle through the valid patterns which would let you bingo. (For example, in the image the patterns are cycling for “2 Rows”).

Calling Bingo

Once you have a valid bingo pattern, you should press the Bingo button to call bingo, to make a claim. (You can also press the Enter button on your keyboard as a shortcut).

Once the button is pressed, the game will check your cards to see if you have a valid bingo. If you do then the game will pause, giving others opportunity to double-check their numbers and also make a claim.

A valid claim must:

  • Have numbers marked of as according to the current pattern.
  • The numbers marked off must have been called.
  • The last number called must form one of the markings in the pattern.

If any of these criteria have not been met the claim won’t be valid and the button won’t appear to do anything, expect for the last case in which case you will get an error message informing you of the problem.

You will be rewarded with the gems for making a claim. If multiple people or cards have claimed for the pattern, the reward will be divided by the number of cards with a valid claim, floored, and distributed for each card a player holds with the claim.

Please note: you must be in the game from the start of the round to call bingo. If you haven’t the button won’t appear and you will see this message:
