Be An Author Game-Specific Rules
• 21. Books must contain original content or proper attribution
• 22. No plagiarism — write your own stories
• 23. Book titles must be appropriate and descriptive
• 24. Descriptions should accurately represent your book
• 25. No clickbait titles or misleading descriptions
• 26. Cover images must be appropriate with no gore or profanity
• 27. Maximum 200 characters per forum post
• 28. Forums can be used for anything; book-related content is optional
• 29. No spam in book forums
• 30. No books or discussions about inappropriate topics
• 31. Respect other authors and their work
• 32. Constructive criticism only — no hate comments
• 33. No advertising other games or external content
• 34. Books cannot contain malicious links or scams
• 35. One book per title per author — no duplicates
• 36. Edit inappropriate content when notified
• 37. Failure to comply may result in book deletion
• 38. No copyright infringement — do not copy published works
• 39. Fan fiction must be clearly labeled as such
• 40. Be kind in comments and discussions
Content Quality Standards
• 41. Use proper grammar and spelling when possible
• 42. Format your content for readability
• 43. Break up long texts into paragraphs
• 44. Provide meaningful descriptions
• 45. Choose appropriate categories for your books
• 46. Update books to fix errors when found
• 47. Respond professionally to feedback
• 48. Don’t delete and reupload to manipulate stats

Prohibited Content
• 51. No racial slurs or hate speech
• 52. No religious intolerance or extremism
• 53. No promotion of self-harm or suicide
• 54. No eating disorder content or pro-ana material
• 55. No drug or alcohol glorification
• 56. No weapons or violence glorification
• 57. No terrorism or extremist content
• 58. No human trafficking or exploitation
• 59. No animal abuse content
• 60. No gambling or betting content
• 61. No adult or mature themes

Community Interaction

Technical Guidelines
• 81. Books are limited by DataStore constraints
• 82. Comment posts cap at 100 per book “this has since changed since we fixed the issue from our old place back in march 3rd 2025”)
• 83. Excessive editing may cause data issues
• 84. Report bugs to developers; do not exploit them, this could include a duplication glitch or XP bugs!
• 85. Don’t attempt to manipulate vote systems (“this does not exist in this new place we made this year”)
• 86. Respect the platform’s data storage limits
• 87. Large books may take time to load
• 88. Use text scaling options appropriately
• 89. Test your book before publishing
• 90. Keep backup copies of important work
• 100. Work with us to maintain a safe, creative space
• 101. also, for book moderation the team will have override status, so we can see your book in game no one else just us and your friends if “friends only” feature which is “future feature” is toggled too on. this is so we can abide by our rules and Roblox’s rules.
