Beam's effect reduction on reduced graphics

As you can tell from the title, I need help with the effects of beams being reduced at lower graphics, which puts players on lower end devices at a disadvantage in my game.

I’ve seen a few games do something where beams look the same at any graphics, but I don’t know how to do it myself. Any help would be appreciated!

Do those games simply replace the texture with a filled color for low-end devices?

No, it just makes it more invisible.
