Being able to put GUIs in front of the top bar

I want to use it as a notification bar with some white text in front of it but it darkens it.

If not, maybe make it the new place for the old hints?

ROBLOX has already said no to this, unfortunately.

Hints and messages could do with a revamp tho.

Hints and messages are deprecated

There’s no point in a platform-wide topbar if people are allowed to modify it

The least they could do is allow us the ability to add buttons onto the top bar, similar to the ContextActionService; so that space is not lost (Mobile it can hurt).

I am fine with the top bar, minus that.

We will never be able to add items to the topbar. The whole purpose of it was to distinguish the ROBLOX UI from other UI and move it to a place that didn’t interfere with the game’s UI. It’s meant purely for ROBLOX UI – it will never be able to hold non-CoreUI content.

We should be able to disable that ridiculous empty (when it’s empty) bar though so there won’t be an issue of wasted space.

I just think if they want to be uniform, then main UI navigation would be held there in most games.
The empty 3/4 feel like wasted space.

and I’d love to just be able to add the buttons for the game menu, inventory, character panel etc. up there… at the moment the bar’s a bit too empty - at least adding an option to add buttons to it would make it somewhat less redundant.

We just need a way to disable the topbar. As I stated previously, it’s for ROBLOX core UI elements exclusively – they’ll never allow you to add your items to it. What will work perfectly fine though is a completely empty and transparent topbar overlayed by a custom topbar you made with your items inside it.
