As someone that tends to hop on roblox games, it is currently impossible to be able to efficiently report a user when they leave the game for behavior, and when you are in the process of reporting a user and they leave the game, the report for the “Who” section clears out and you are unable to make a report.
You CAN report people under their profile, however you would need to specify things such as the game they were in, the time, and what they did. That’s IF you by chance remember their username. It’s not practical to try to remember a player’s username, especially a burner account that has random letters and numbers as a username.
I made a prototype for what it could look like if it were to be added in. You would additionally be able to view their avatar, block them, and add as a friend along with being able to report.
I feel like if there was a feature like this, it would make roblox not only a safer place but also penalize other players that like to do something against TOS and dip to avoid any consequence.
I don’t like the “recently left” wording, I personally think “recently active” works better cause what if that user was kicked or something alternative. They didn’t leave they were forced out the game but they were recently active within that server.
I feel like you are taking “Recently left” as something along the lines of Recently kicked out. For example if someone leaves a server they left THAT specific server. Furthermore what im getting from how you are describing recently active could conflict with that fact that if “something alternative” happened they might be still active at present and not just recently active.
Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for highlighting our rollout of the “Recently left” players in the report menu. We’re always looking for ways to improve the reporting experience, which made this a feature that we were excited to launch.
As far as the wording goes, “Recently left” does seem to convey the idea that the player is no longer part of that server–“Recently active” may be a little unclear whether the player has disconnected, or they’re just afk.
As always, we’re open to all manner of feedback! Love to hear everyone’s thoughts about these features, and open to suggestions on improving reporting.
