In the Creator Dashboard, the “Benchmark experiences with similar players” section is recommending multiple (not all) experiences that are not similar to my game. My game is a competitive obby focused on parkour and skill, but the benchmark list includes games like Steal a Brainrot and 99 Nights in a Forest, which are completely different genres and have massively higher CCUs (In the millions).
Why this is a problem: The comparisons are inaccurate and the benchmarks are misleading. It is difficult to evaluate my game compared to other obby-focused experiences.
Sorry for the confusion. These are experiences with similar players, that means you have overlapping playtime with them since your users spend time playing all kinds of experiences. across different genres
If you want to see your genre benchmarks, you can switch on the experience overview page. Experiences with similar players benchmark is there to give you an idea about how other experiences your users also enjoy perform. This is a smaller set and usually more competitive. However, benchmarks are there to only give you a point of comparison.
