I have recently found an investor for a game my devs are working on. He is investing 13K robux for ads, whats the best way to spend this robux, should I spend it on one big ad, what type of it should it be? I want to get the max CTR possible. Ive only gotten around 1.2% ctr in the past, but Ive heard 3% is possible, how?
You have 10 seconds to convince a player to join your game.
Use bright words too.
Describe your game as if its exclusive!
300 robux a day
Pay good money for a high quality ad. Good thumbnail also helps the player actually click play after they click the ad. And 3% isn’t too bad.
PS am I the investor cuz I don’t remember all my investment names (no hate)
I been wondering the same cuz my ads are doing bad even if I put 2k in one ad a day, today at 12:00 AM I advertised with 2k Robux (all Robux in one ad), and guess how many clicks so far. BARELY NOTHING!!! Is getting less impressions and clicks than before. Probably today was a bad day to advertise but idk. I actually need help as well. I am just about to give up cuz sponsors and ads are doing really bad for me. 200+ clicks so far on the ad I spent 2k which is really sad, and in my opinion the ad is not bad. I used to get 1% + with one of my ads and now I get less than 1%. I hate it…
Can I see your ad? You need a high quality ad
Heya it’s me moosie again,
I have seen many peoples feedback and datasets on ads that they ran for campaigns to gather data and such things, and let me tell you, if you’ve ever wondered why you see so many weird half-clickbaity ads on the platform, its because they work. Im not saying make a clickbait ad, but what you need is an ad that is not only decent quality, but one that can play on the players curiosity and interests.
Examples are things like:
- Ads that showcase an interesting item or in game feature
- Ads that show multiple levels of progression in a game
- Ads that ask a question and try to convince a player to play or join
- Ads that compare noobs to pros and such
- meme ads, they work surprisingly well if done well lol
I agree with the last one. I made one before and it got a 1.7% CTR.
tldr; 10k per ad if you want at least 100 players and make sure your ads are colorful
Honestly my rule of thumb for advertising a new game is to run a test sponsor/advertisement of 10k robux and if the game gets more than 100 players it’s safe to do a bigger sponsor. with 13k robux you’re still looking at around 100 players or more depending on game quality. doing any less seems like a waste of robux.
In regards to ad design, you definitely need to utilize bright contrasting colors in order to catch the eye of a player. Many people will make an exclusive code that you can redeem in-game that’ll be shown on the ad which tends to bring in a lot more users/click. Other options if you don’t have a code system could be something as simple as showing off a really cool item in the game, thus peaking interest in the players mind.
Honestly, sometimes it isn’t even worth doing ads, rather reaching out to others and having good SEO might be more effective.
What’s the best way to spend this robux
Until putting a full amount of robux into advertising, use small amounts to begin with and test the CTR of all your advertisements.
This can be useful in order to evaluate any issues that need to be brought up, for example if one advertisement has dangerously low CTR compared to another you can cut that out as you may might not find use in wanting to dedicate funds to that specific ad - using small amounts of robux means you are also not punished too much for investing money to test the ads and you should understand them more.
should I spend it on one big ad
How many ads do you have? It’s fine if you don’t want variety but it’s good to have 2-3 as if you invest a lot into a single ad it may be seen repetitive from others and the effect for them to click might be less effective the 2nd time they see it (impressions are counted even if they’re not unique).
Make sure your allocation of money is not too much either, as advertisements can be sort of an oddball so you really don’t want to spend all your money in one go.
Try to start off with spending 500-1.5k (from your 13k) on a Friday/Saturday for your ad, then build up if you see the effects to be economic enough to warrant so.
edit: DON’T spend more than 25% of your funding on your FIRST ad attempt, be safe and do it after test runs
I disagree with what certain people have said even recommending 80%+ lol - UNDERSTAND your ads first and then see if it’s useful. That is an awfully risky waste of money, like what if your game wasn’t good enough to keep the players you invited? boom - funding gone. just don’t.

@MoosieBoii said this and this is very worth knowing - you shouldn’t mind if your ads are low/high quality as long as they get players, just business.
I would say the ad doesn’t look too good since it is hard to focus on anything.
