[Beta] Analytics: Introducing Your New Analytics Assistant

Hi Creators,

Today, we’re excited to launch a new Analytics Assistant that delivers weekly, monthly, and player feedback reports to help you grow your experience faster.

You shouldn’t have to spend hours manually sifting through charts and player comments to find what matters. That’s why we built this Assistant to extract actionable insights from both metric signals and player feedback. For beta, we’ve built:

  1. Weekly and monthly reports with top metric drivers, outlier detection, and feedback summaries.
  2. Player feedback reports with what players love and want improved about your experience.

Weekly and monthly reports: Top drivers, outlier detection, and player feedback summaries

To view these reports, go to your Experience Overview and click “See full report” in the insight below. Monthly reports arrive the first Tuesday of each month and weekly reports arrive on other Tuesdays. Note that your experience needs 1,000+ DAU to see these reports.

Click the see full report link in this insight to see your weekly and monthly reports

The reports highlight:

  1. Top drivers for revenue and daily active users changes, including specific monetization products and acquisition channels. Use this to understand why your revenue or DAU changed.

  2. Outlier detection for KPIs. We’ll automatically identify outliers to save your time from manually filtering KPIs by age, platform, country, and more. For example, if retention declined, we might tell you it dropped significantly more on iOS or among 18+ users.

  3. Player feedback summaries. You’ll see the top requests and takeaways from actual players over the past week or month to help you prioritize what to work on next.

You can click on any section of the report to see the relevant charts.

Player feedback reports: What players love and want improved

To view this report, either click on the See feedback report link from the weekly or monthly reports or go to your Feedback dashboard (Analytics → Feedback) and click the Deep dive link in the insight below. You need 20+ player feedback comments to see this report.

The player feedback report highlights:

  1. What players love about your experience
  2. What players want improved

As a reminder, players can leave this feedback after rating your experience.

You can click on “Deep dive with Assistant” to see your player feedback report

What’s next

Our goal is to give every creator a trusted analyst to help them grow their experiences. We’re excited to launch this feature and will continuously improve it with your feedback. We plan to add:

  1. Performance metrics and insights
  2. Ability to chat with the report to deep dive on charts and metrics

Give our Analytics Assistant a try and check out our documentation as well. Note that Assistant uses AI and can make mistakes. Please double-check important information.

We’d love to hear your feedback in the comments below!

Sounds good! Can’t wait to use this to improve my game when it releases and gets players. Analytics are truly powerful to collect, and tools like these make it even better.

I’ve been using the Analytics Assistant for a while now, and I love the report provided for user feedback.

Instead of reading through every individual response by a user, it combines it all into one paragraph with criticism and improvements that I can make for my experience.

I think this is actually good, while my game isn’t exactly huge, but it has 24/7 concurrent players (10-50), and this is mostly where AI should be being used, instead of generating slop, its just a second pair of eyes.

Sadly, we need enough data to calculate statistically significant outliers, top drivers etc. However, we are also working on Analytics chat which will be available to everyone!

When are we going to get studio updates? why leaving developers behind?

What exactly does “WoW” mean?

Context:

top driver is likely the decline in Daily Active Users (-20% WoW), primarily from returning user plays (-26% WoW)

WoW = Week over Week

This tool is great - two primary features I really enjoy is the summarized player feedback and the insights on specific user cohorts. Sometimes it hard to understand where a lift or dip in metrics is coming from, but this AI tool helps to identify the outliers.

1k DAU is nothing :sob: No game with under 1k DAU would benefit from this because it is unplayable.

wrong it means World of Warships

games that are barely known or are little cant just pull 1k daily users out of nowhere yknow (or games that were once popular at some point)
just like how i wanted to test this out but it seems like i’ve got nothing after that guy

How helpful exactly do you think the analytics are to a game that doesn’t have concurrent players? It just looks like noise, no matter how much AI you throw onto it, it will never have any relevant details in what you do right or wrong. Plus, data is small enough you are better off sorting through it yourself.

I have around 100k average DAU and my game only has around 600 average CCU. How is 1k DAU a lot?

Very solid update, I knew a lot of the issues it brought up to me, but the fact it’s shown on the overview and it’s something that it suggests fixes for is amazing.

10/10 update.

I was able to be one of the people that tested this in Alpha and after having used it for a while, I can honestly say this is a good one. I don’t normally like AI products because a lot of them are rushed or bad applications, but I think this is actually a good use case. When I compare what it tells me to my own analysis of my charts, it consistently points out the same things I’d be concerned about already, but in a way that’s faster to digest and straight to the point. I also really like the action suggestions

Excited to use this on my other experiences! This was super helpful during the alpha with explaining changes in graph trends, especially during holidays in other countries.

Is there anything fundamentally wrong with putting down a warning stating that it might be unreliable at low DAU instead of locking it down? Yall let the studio assistent commit warcrimes but a warning is too complicated?
