This looks great so far. I have a few features I wanted to request to help with the overall accessibility and utility of the extension;
Option to add player counts to “Recommended For You” games list
Option to display game lists as compact thumbnails and/or resize grid tiles (The default grid layout makes everything look massive on larger/high DPI displays. On the charts tab, a single tile takes up more area on the screen than my entire hand) This one is especially imporant because these tiles currently ignore my browser’s zoom function, making it impossible to resize them
Option to view sorts/genres as plain text. This is an important accessibility feature as text overlaid on top of frequently changing thumbnails is hard to read for some users
Hey thanks for pointing this out! I want to make everything as accessible as I can, so I will add this to the list. Right now I am working on polishing, bug fixing, and optimizing. Once everything is ironed out I think it will be easier for me to focus on accessibility features and multi-language support. But thank you for your time to write valuable feedback, it’s really appreciated!
From the beginning I decided I wanted this project to stand alone. I don’t plan on it being cross-compatible at the current moment because I want to fully flesh out features without having to work around something. This is just a personal design decision, but I want to have full creative freedom. I will say it’s not like I won’t do it, it’s more of just not in the plan right now. Thank you for your support though it’s really appreciated!
Totally understand and agree that the current Roblox extension landscape is a clusterf*ck of 5 different tools that overlap in functionality.
I’ve always wished for just one extension that does everything right, so I hope yours becomes that some day!
For fun, I decided to install the extension anyway and saw you actually do implement a lot of the killer features from BTRoblox or RoPro. I was pleasantly surprised to see you actually implemented an explorer view
Yeah, currently still iterating on the explorer couple things I was specifically looking at were, like you said, expanding the source panel, and I was also looking on adding unique icons for each class! Since you brought it up, I will look into it being something I push out for the next update. I am trying to polish and bug fix at the moment, so small UI tweaks are definitely something I am looking on improving. Thanks again for your feedback!
Hey there, thanks for pointing our your concerns. A lot of people have brought up safety and security. The privacy policy and terms of service are very transparent, and I have addressed a lot of security concerns in previous replies. The extension never and will never take your login cookies or anything used to authenticate your Roblox account off of your device. If you have specific concerns you have questions about I would be happy to look into them!
Does an offline version of this plugin exist that doesn’t send any data out for syncing purposes or whatever? I’m willing to lose some functionality for this
There’s no separate offline version, but by default you don’t need to connect your account to use the extension. Without an account connected, the extension doesn’t send any personal data to the backend. Some features do make API calls, but nothing is tied to your identity. Features like leaving reviews, profile customization, and syncing settings do require connecting your account. The Privacy Policy discloses all information that is transmitted. Hope this answers your question!
Good to know, def gonna use this plugin now
It is pretty neat and not often seen to let a service be used without an account or some type of sign in with telemetry, props to you man
