As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to have meaningful conversation on the dev forum when certain individuals send mass low quality responses that appear to be ai generated. In order to disguise these replies as being ai created they run their responses through ai rephrasing tools that “humanize” their mass texts to be detected as not ai generated or “lesser” than.
I personally have no issue with the responsible use of ai to retain your idea in a more intelligible or comprehensible way for others, but when ai responses are sent in mass quantities and are being used to flood/clog up sensitive issues such as moderation threads or threads on the topic of DMCA it prevents developers who use the forums to keep up to date on certain topics that may be affecting them, effectively. The trend with these certain responses is that they frame their response as on topic enough by citing roblox documents or policies to not be flagged but also not on topic enough to divert users from the original topic, this usually results in them being called out for being offtopic which then results in the closure of the thread for being off topic.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my experience using the forum because topics would remain open for longer and discussions on real issues can be analyzed properly, no fear of topic derailment because of offtopic mass generated ai responses, and the ability to not have to deal with filtering through disguised ai generated spam.
A feature that limits the view of responses that may be ai generated spam, or modified repetitive responses would help the longevity of threads as well as enhance them for proper discussion and dev collaboration. I believe there should be an added report reason for mass generated ai spam so that moderators can have a clear visibility on these disruptive users.
If any moderators would like me to provide examples of what I have described here I am open to speaking about it with you in a private message.
