Hey there! I won’t talk too much so my issue is pretty simple -
When i exporting my rig into the blender with already welded (motor6d) gun to the right hand, it getting broken like that
It hasn’t happen to me before, so i hope someone know how to fix that.
If you’re using Den_S’s, their forum post the Roblox plugin is from explains how to install the Blender plugin, enable it in preferences and use the toolbar to reconstruct a rig.
The same thing is happening with my viewmodel rigs, moving the bones just doesn’t seem to move the objects in Blender. Worked fine up until recent update, so I’m assuming the update broke something with the Blender exporting plugin.
I managed to find a fix but it’s a little tedious.
Right as you import the rig into blender and right before you rebuild the rig for animating, make sure that every single object is named how it’s supposed to, because certain (if not all) parts are named incorrectly. If something IS named incorrectly then rename it to how it should be.
it does kinda work for me,even though i cannot import the animations back to roblox so its kinda of useless for now so yeah i think we should just wait for it to be fixed.
You can export animations to Roblox, you just can’t preview them in the plugin. If you press the “Upload animation to Roblox”, and import the animation onto a different animation plugin it’ll work just fine.
The preview breaking happens (most likely) because of Blender’s 3.0 update.
I’ve encountered this problem numerous amounts of times. Here’s what you can do:
In case you want to use that exact rig, you just need to rename the parts of the rig.
When you export the rig to a newer version of blender, the names shuffle around the rig - meaning that RightUpperArm could be named LeftUpperArm, or even LeftLowerLeg.
You can press F2 to change a part’s name.
Posting this 9 months late as I know a lot of people may still be experiencing this.
