Blender VFX to Roblox?

Hey, i’m Grizzz. Recently i’ve begun to attempt VFX for roblox games and wanted to start making some in blender. For the sake of this post I made something in like 5 minutes, the first tutoiral I ever watched infact. I animated the mesh, now my question is how do I export?

  • What I’m Doing: I’ve created a mesh that I made a looping animation for, for “vfx” purposes. As an example i’ll use a Rasengan from Naruto. The animation spins the mesh in a circular pattern n what not.
  • What I need: I need to export the mesh AND the animation into studio. I am not sure how to do this, I have looked everywhere and all I see for Blender animations < ROBLOX Studio is Rig tutorials. I am not rigging here!
  • What I’ve Tried: I’ve looked all over for a tutorial that explains this. I am not sure how to carry Blender animations for meshes over into ROBLOX.

My discord is Grizzz#7120 if you want to discuss it there or have any pointers for VFX in general. Thank you!!!

All you need to do is go to file > export and then save it into one of your files. Then on Roblox insert a MeshPart, click the folder icon on properties and find your file.

I dont do VFX but as far as I know, you cant export the actual animation of that in studio.
Its the job of scripter to make it spin and resize and whatever animation it needs, according to some VFX artists I asked some time ago on the same topic
