Bloxtunes.co -- Spotify-like app for Roblox Music

Update Feb 20, 2026

We released a Roblox version of Bloxtunes – play it here.

DM me if you are interested in integrating it into your experience.

TL;DR

We made a free music app for browsing/searching the Roblox/Distrokid library with user-prompted stations, deep track info, favorites, and the ability to share stations with friends. Introducing https://bloxtunes.co, We’d love your feedback.

Bloxtunes.co

Bloxtunes is a free app for the Roblox community to find, collect, curate, and play their favorite Roblox music. It features user-created stations based on prompts, and you can share stations with your friends. We connected it to the same backend API that our other tools use, so your favorites in Bloxtunes.co are synced to our boombox plugin, and in our Audio Discovery Tool,.

Features

  • More than 130,000 music tracks (including Distrokid)

  • It uses the Roblox AUTH (login with your Roblox ID)

  • Prompt-generated playlists (describe what you want, and it curates a station)

  • Share stations with your friends

  • Stream the Roblox top 100

  • Search for specific artists or track titles

  • Find the track on Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, and more

  • See album art

  • See the album your track is from, and find more songs from that artist

  • See ALL of the information about that track (including the ID)

  • It even works with CarPlay, minimized on your phone (let us know if it works with Android auto!)

Feedback

As always, we’d love your feedback. Please post feedback to this channel on our discord.

Thank you!

:fire: this is very useful and the music is actually good unlike the Roblox library search! I would love a mobile app on my phone though

We agree there should be native mobile app!

  1. We have an iOS version ready – waiting on a Roblox to sort our AUTH issue (the OAuth redirect urls are not allowing us to setup a custom scheme for our mobile app that requires deep-linking)
  2. An android version is also possible after we sort the AUTH
  3. In the meantime, Bloxtunes.co works as a “progressive web app” so you can install it as an icon on your phone (see below).

Installing Bloxtunes as a progressive web app

  1. Go to bloxtunes.co on your iPhone
  2. At the bottom of your screen, click the “share link” button
  3. Scroll down and select “Add to Home Screen”

This is cool, thanks  looking forward to the app!

0/10 product there is no crab rave song

Hey @Kostiskat

To find a specific song or artist, use the “Search” function, which is in a different place (you were creating a station). See this video.

When I search for Crab Rave there, I get these results.

Is this what you were looking for?

oh yeah totally but it wasnt really obvious at first, cause there was a huge “Discover” textbox on the homepage that i thought it had the same function as “search”

the search button is tiny in comparison

Thanks! Good feedback – are you using it on a phone or laptop?

Any other things that were hard to find for you?

i dont have anything else negative to comment on, just these two - also the subtitle under “Discover” hints that this textbox is for the “latest and most popular songs on Roblox”. nice platform overall.

i am using this on a 27" 1080p monitor

App updated with user feedback!

Hey @Kostiskat – we updated the app

  1. We added a new pop-up that explains the difference

  2. We made the wording more clear about creating stations

  3. We added a reminder of where the search feature is, and added a hot-key ⌘K (CTRL-K on PC)

Let us know what you think everyone!

This seems pretty cool.

Are most of the songs available on Roblox since it starts with Blox?..

It would be nice if this time bar is fatter, so that you can get the icon, to skip and fast forward to parts of the song… getting the mouse icon lined up perfectly to be able to click on it, to scan through what a song sounds like is something I do, to quickly go through songs to see if I want to save them, and or put them into my Roblox…

I am on a big monitor too… doing it on a phone would drive me insane…

also,

have this option , on all of the three … dots thing… so you can quickly get the roblox link page and save it in Roblox

along with, will there be a away in your ap when we are signed on, to save our own mixes of songs… instead of just being able to heart them?

and

when you go into a song and it has this page, have a back button that goes back to the list of songs I was just in… and or a X close button, which then take me back to my list… so I do not need to use my browsers Back arrow…

to get back to the screen

and

have a close X on this pop up and or if you click outside of the pop up it closes it…

and
if this is focused on Roblox, how about everywhere , have an ‘icon Roblox Link page’ , that automatically when you click on it, opens up another tab , with the roblox creator link page so in two click I can 1) got to the roblox link page and then 2) click on the roblox save this id… I am still have problem figuring out how to get it to my roblox… even tho I did it before…

and

add a play button on the track list, so I do not have to open up the song, and then hit play, and then cannot go back to the tracks list because there is no back button… either way, I want to play the tracks quickly and scan through them…

along with, the skip to next track does not work all the time…

Hey @Lord_BradyRocks

Thanks for all your feedback --we’ll look at your suggestions.

Note: for devs like you, we made our Discovery Tool, which has the features you asked for, like:

  1. Quickly finding the Roblox ID of a song

  2. Easier search within a track

  3. Creating your own playlists

  4. And really granular search capabilities (filtering, negative searches, etc)

  5. Search and download of the Freesound library

See our DevForum post on it.

How have you not yet been sued by APM? Is it not a problem that this piggybacks off of Roblox’s APM license without you actually being affiliated with them?

All songs are played through the Roblox API with Roblox AUTH.

The issue is that Roblox Terms prohibit such usage, and not all providers have agreed for third party out of platform usage.

Terms of Use, Music On Roblox, Point a:5:

Use on the Services. Creator may only use Licensed Music on the Services. Creator agrees that it will not export, extract, download, or provide a way for anyone else to export, extract, or download the Licensed Music for use anywhere outside of the Services.

Additionally Terms of Use, Music On Roblox, Point a:3, prohibits usage of Roblox’s catalog for intention of creating music streaming services:

250 Track Limit. Notwithstanding the foregoing, Creator may not use Licensed Music to create a streaming service or music library within an Experience or other UGC, nor may Creator charge Users to listen to a specific track of the Licensed Music. Creator has the right to place, play, and have played up to 250 distinct tracks of Licensed Music at any one time in a single Experience or other UGC With Licensed Music UGC (including Experiences) into which Licensed Music has been synchronized.

Ref: https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004647846-Roblox-Terms-of-Use

As much as we personally don’t have an issue with it, others may do as this is considered both Roblox’s Terms Of Use violation, and piracy. That said, not all music licensing and distribution are as flexible as us here. Let me give you some examples:

  • Monstercat is now owned by a quite large music group (Create Music Group).
  • APM is a licensing giant (they’re known to go after even minimal violations).
  • DistroKid is a music distribution giant.
  • Duetti Music is not as big but is backed up by previous Tidal COO.

First 2 in particular may get you in a lot of trouble if discovered.

We aren’t legal experts.

We use Roblox APIs and Roblox AUTH. If any Roblox of the copyright owners feel we are violating any licenses, we will comply with their requests, as we have done in the past.

In other words:
We acknowledge that we're violating Roblox's Terms Of Use via incorrect use of Open Cloud API and OAuth 2.0 app in order to illegally obtain copies of musical works provided by it's licensors.

In other words:
We don't care unless we're going to get noticed and sued.

All I’m trying to do is warn you, APM is joint venture owned my UMG and SME, and they have sued and shut down platforms and websites like yours before, ending in a huge fines.

Sounds a lot like something Roblox would say too! :face_with_spiral_eyes:

I’m playing the new Bloxtunes experience you released, and I found a few bugs + UX issues:

TL;DR

Bugs

  • :yellow_circle: Performance issues (still needs work)
  • Progress bar doesn’t scrub properly
  • :yellow_circle: Progress bar doesn’t feel responsive (needs fix in miniplayer and in fullscreen view)
  • :white_check_mark: Cannot scrub song without fullscreening
  • :white_check_mark: Characters spawn in the background, consuming memory
  • PlayerModule is active despite game being fully 2D
  • :white_check_mark: Liked songs don’t update until rejoin
  • (NEW BUG) Like icon stays gray after clicking, despite the song actually being liked
  • Weird song click animation in search

UX Issues

  • No search filters and sorts
  • Unintuitive song playback hitbox
  • Roblox Music Player always detects “Restless Dancer” instead of the current song
  • Miniplayer collides with AI search box
  • Janky text button animations
  • Memory leak or desperately unoptimized Fusion components lag the game

  • Progress bar doesn’t drag properly, and doesn’t have a hover animation

  • Would like to scrub the song without fullscreening it

  • Characters are still spawned, consider automatically removing them to save memory (assuming characters never interact or get seen)

  • The PlayerModule is active, please disable it to save memory and fix some UX issues (like accidently enabling shift lock)

  • These audio tiles scale weirdly when clicked (in Search tab)

  • There are no search filters and sorts! :C

  • Unintuitive song playback hitbox

  • The Roblox Music Player shows a different song, it detected a song that is playing with a non-zero volume before the intended song played. It shows this same song no matter what I play now!

  • Active song display collides with AI search box

  • A lot of buttons have a janky animation, it could be improved! Text definitely behaves strangely when you animate its size. What if you animated its border and background instead? :3

I noticed that this is a multiplayer game with no user interactions. What if you could explore a world with other players while listening to music? It would also be cool if you could select a player to listen along with them. The other player would automatically be the host of the listening party.
