Whenever I have can collide on and I exit my vehicle it flips around like crazy I was wondering if there was any way for me to have can collide on and still have seats without the boat having a seizure
If anyone knows any fixes please tell me as being able to stand on the boat is something I really want in game
I know I marked you as a solution cause in my head I had a clear idea of what I wanted to do but after trying for awhile I have no idea how to do the means of actually accomplishing this so if you could be a little more specific in what I am to do that would be greatly appreciated
Don’t know what exactly is going on with the collisions just from the video so I cant help you resolve it directly, but if it works fine without collision, you can use collision groups as zakater said. There are instructions in his link on how to create collision groups and add parts to them. For example if you are saying the seat being collidable is causing the problem, creat a group for the seat that only collides with the player so it wont affect the boat. I do not believe this is your problem but I cannot say without seeing it myself.
I already know how to use collision groups but sadly its not the collision with the seat its the collision with the hull of the ship when the player exits the seat so I have no idea how I would go about fixing that
Is it something with exiting the seat specifically or whenever the player is standing on the boat? It looks to me like you could solve the problem by using a vector force and gyro that the script uses the move around and sets to zero when idle.
Increase the strength of your gyro. You can make it inf if you want to. Also add a high strength vector force with zero velocity to stop it from getting pushed around.
Ah sorry for making you keep on helping me out and I appreciate your help but I realized what was wrong is I set the gyro to not do anything on the Y axis because I want the boat to still be able to turn but because the hull of the ship is a union its y axis and z and x are all not facing how a normal part would so I put a new part inside of the boat which I attached the gyro and position thing too
again I am sorry for wasting your time because I failed to give essential knowledge on where the the body gyro was and what type of part it was in
