Body movers have much more power if object is airborne

I’m using a body mover to give an enemy knockback if you hit it, but it has much more power if the object is in the air than if it’s on the ground. This creates a really weird effect when you hit the enemy in midair, causing it to fly backward. Is there any way around this?

This is due to surface friction/collisions with the ground. You could apply a small vertical force to ensure the enemy is always airborne at least a little bit.
