Issue: Assets stop loading shortly after a playtest starts, preventing me from properly playtesting my game. I can reproduce this 100% of the time, restarting my game does not fix it. It almost seems like asset requests are being rate-limited somehow, as it works fine for the first thirty to sixty seconds before assets stop loading. This is visibly apparent in the output window.
Example:
Here is an example video: note that part way through the output starts throwing HTTP 429 errors and certain gameplay-necessary meshes just stop loading completely (note the cars in the dealership). This happens to different assets every time - sometimes clothes don’t load and NPCs spawn naked, certain sounds stop loading, et cetera. Sometimes the palm tree textures are loaded before I start the playtest, then when I exit and go back to studio they are no longer loaded.
This is seriously disrupting our workflow!

Edit: Nevermind it still happens and is still disrupting our workflow! It appears the issue is happening intermittently - as if someone is flipping some flag causing this.
The issue appears to be fixed today but I will leave the post up so as to highlight yesterday’s issue. There were a lot of posts about this so that we can receive a fix if it is an ongoing issue that may happen intermittently.
Yup. In two games I’ve tested in studio, it seems after the first play solo test a ton of meshes and textures unload and seem to stay unloaded. It doesn’t happen all the time but it happens often in both of these places: TD Dev and BAB Tycoon Dev
I don’t recall exactly when this first started happening, but it was before June and it seems to only happen in Roblox Studio. Last saw this issue a few days ago, not sure if it’s still happening since the latest update.
