When the new games page was added the most popular sort was locked so it would only show the most popular games currently. I think that the most popular all time sort was an interesting sort for players to look at and was pretty useful to new players who weren’t on ROLBOX when some of those games were on the front page.
I’m obviously pretty biased in this as one of my games would probably be on the front page of this sort but I still think it is a useful addition to the games page.
There is also a bug with the time selection on the games page as it currently exists. It doesn’t work properly on some sorts such as the builders club games and possibly the top paid.
I agree. The popular all time sort is an interesting way for players to learn the history of Roblox games, along with playing the classics. I was sad when they removed it, because I enjoyed seeing which games passed what overtime.
The closest thing we have currently is Most Favorited All Time.
Well, yeah, it could be used for that but the recommendations don’t show by default and it is very hit and miss to find games you actually want to play in the recommendations. I don’t have any stats on how often the recommendations tab actually gets clicked on but I would bet that it is very low.
It would be a better experience for users to see all the most played games in order rather than randomly discover new ones from time to time in the recommendations section.
