Bring back Undo/Redo in the new ui

As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to undo/redo on the new ui and i ngl i really like it! And i js wish i could finally get undo/redo, unless that happens i will have to go back to the old UI for REDO, as i dont know the keybind for redo anyway

I would not have to return to the old UI and it would be more convenient

Note:
does roblox even listen to these things :frowning:

its usually ctrl+y, but you can make a custom toolbar and add the buttons if you really need them.

missing the point, you shouldnt NEED to do this :wilted_flower:
they should include it by default, and if its literally adding a table and a few table items, why didnt THEY do it…

also if ur going so far into editing app data and stuff, can you solve this topic?
Way to turn the roblox app into a usable Xbox 1 version of the title screen - Help and Feedback / Platform Usage Support - Developer Forum | Roblox
(basically just asking if you can switch the roblox application into the WAY less corporate XBOX 1 version)

this game is an example of what i want the roblox application to do:
Xbox UI Launcher | Play on Roblox

There is a new redo you can press control + z or control + y

Cause it’s one of the most common keyboard shortcuts, right next to Ctrl+C for copy and Ctrl+V for paste. The new UI took the opportunity to keep the most important buttons for the current mode in the toolbar and keep keyboard shortcuts in the menu bars. The new UI allows you to add it to your own toolbars if you really want it that way…

Why would I do that

use keyboard shortcuts. I used to always press the duplicate button instead of ctrl+d and i forced myself to use the shortcut everytime i needed to duplicate something. If i went to press the duplicate button, i would move my mouse back to where it was and use the shortcut which eventually i got used to after like 2 weeks. You never realize how much time is wasted moving your mouse back and fourth until you start using the shortcuts

again, this is NOT the point!

the point is that:
they still should have the buttons in the same area that it was in!
theres no point in changing where the undo/redo button is, let alone remove it.

hmm, you know what I see your point! But again, why? did? they? remove? it?

You can use the edit menu, the keybinds, or even duplicate the model tab, add what you want, and then hide the default one if you really want to. But I still see why you guys want it back. Either way the keyboard shortcut is much faster honestly, so if I were any of you I would just try and get used to the shortcut but then again it’s personal preference.

It is standard UI to have the undo and redo button up there. People begin without using shortcuts then eventually ease into shrotcuts. There is plenty of space for those buttons and tbh even the toolbars should be up there so the viewport etc is bigger.

I don’t usually use the buttons anymore but sometimes I do. And I know it is easier for newer or younger folk to have clear buttons.

Please. Sank u bery much.

Right here would be a perfect place for it, idk why they dont have it there now

maybe instead of there,
you could move over the UI and put the undo/redo to the start of the line of buttons!

In my opinion, it’s unnecessary to have Undo/Redo buttons visible by default. However, I am all for customization so maybe that’s something that could be looked into. Plenty of other software don’t have buttons for these (ex: Blender). I would still recommend you use key binds (and if you don’t know the key bind you can literally customize your own key binds).
