Bring the Full Google Fonts Catalog to Roblox

Hello! Due to the incredibly small font selection, it has become more challenging for me as a UI Designer to create distinctive, expressive user interfaces that complement my game’s style. Nowadays, nearly every front-page experience uses Poppins and Frederoka One as their primary font, which has made many game user interfaces feel monotonous.

This isn’t the fault of the developers or designers; it’s a limitation of the platform. Frederoka One is currently one of the only fonts that matches a very popular style on Roblox (bright, bubbly, cartoonish, etc.) The majority of the other fonts either feel too corporate, rigid, or simply out of place for most games. As a result, UI Designers are forced to reuse the few options even when they want to create something original.

This issue becomes more and more noticeable as Roblox continues to push for higher production value, more immersive experiences, and stronger branding across games. Fonts are a core part of visual identity, and right now that is severely constrained.

Over three years ago, we were told that Roblox planned to expand its font library by adding over 1,500 fonts, or all of the fonts licensed under SIL Open Font License in the Google Font Catalog.

Since then, progress on this goal seems unclear, and the current font selection remains nearly unchanged. Expanding the font library would be a massive quality of life improvement for developers, allowing for more diverse user interface, stronger branding, and a more polished overall platform.

Bump. We need news on whether Roblox will actually go through with offering these, since I actually need some of them to achieve a specific art style.
