Building a Safer Marketplace: Updates to 2D Avatar Items, Uploading and Publishing Requirements

Verified badges are easy to buy. I had creators copying my assets as well and it took serious pressure for them to even consider taking them off-sale.

Copying assets and reselling them is unfortunately a problem that HUMAN MODERATION can only solve. as there are many cases of UGC creators having their original item uploaded days prior be taken down and reuploaded by another creator. which is then considered the “new original” to ROBLOX support AI.

Unfortunately, it is human DMCA agents who blindly accept every counter notice with fictitious information that mocks the law, creators and this platform

Still waiting for you to do something about the bug that was bothering me for a month. I’m a group owner, from a region where premium isn’t available (RU) and I still can’t publish my clothes.

I’ve even made a topic about it, got an answer from Roblox’ staff member, and waited, hoping if it would be fixed. 2 weeks passed, nothing was fixed, only me and one user from Bangladesh reported this problem.

Why others don’t? Either they’re too lazy to read 5 hours on this forum, or they did not plan to mass-produce the clothing, make a steady income from it, or put enough effort into it.

It would be good, if you release some kind of hotfix, but to make it much better, just revert this update, we’ve literally made a step forward, by making 2D clothes free to upload, and only 10 robux to publish, whether you own a group/BC or not. And then we make a step back witg this update, making people to pay 100$+ a year.

You say it’s important to boost the original creators, yet, on a 3D UGC market, we still see lots of duplicates, and copies of limited items. This new update will literally suffocate the real original creators, because lots of niche stuff will disappear from market, since the creator would bankrupt in a month. Reason? None of gen alpha kids would buy something else over mainstream emo clothes, so every original artist will have to become a slave of mainstream.

That’s all I gotta say.

i personally believe this is a ploy to milk people for more money and phase out 2d clothing

So in theory now, people who have bad intentions and who steal clothing, can do so at free will and can pretty much take over any groups that have become inactive and can be a single user publishing multiple hundreds of stolen assets, as long as the paid the subscription. Got it. Good job roblox.

edit: and in places where premium isn’t, a vpn could just be abused

Hey guys, don’t think that just because this forum is going quiet we haven’t forgot about how horrible this update is.

why do i need to pay 10R to upload, then another 10R to put my clothing on sale… and on top of that I have to pay $15 for premium 1000…

this is so shitty

@roblox Sell the company before you tank it further, you’ve already announced the death of 2D clothing and today you announce that you are killing most games.

After April 30 creators can pay just 5$ for Roblox plus instead of 10$ for premium 1000

Not enough to make up for the evil they’ve done and for screwing over everyone
