Bullet firing problem

I am currently making a top down shooter and I am using the hyper laser gun as a base for my guns. This seems fine in theory, but a problem occurs when I try to shoot.

As you can see the bullet does fire, but the bullet dives down to my mouse position. I want the bullet to fire in the direction of my mouse, and just fly straight for the rest of its existence.

I got a little closer by deleting “target” on line 211 of the hyper laser gun script.

(I put a comment in the script where line 211 is.)

This is what it looks like after i changed it.

As you can see, the bullet is firing straight, but not in the direction of my gun.
I couldn’t find any other solutions and that’s why i’m making a post on the devforum.

The issue could be caused by the Y-axis difference between the FiringPoint and the Target. You should set the Target’s Y position to match the FiringPoint to maintain a constant horizontal flight.
