Bundle Stays in "Failed Moderation" State Even After Appeal Approval — Requires Reupload and Extra 750 Robux

When uploading a bundle to Roblox, if any individual mesh or texture in the bundle fails moderation, the entire bundle is marked as “Failed Moderation.”

Even after the asset is successfully appealed and restored online, the bundle does not update its moderation status. It remains in a failed state and cannot be published, even though all its assets are now approved.

This forces creators to reupload the exact same bundle and pay another 750 Robux, just to publish the content that was already cleared via appeal. This is both a financial penalty and a waste of time for UGC creators who followed proper procedures.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Upload a bundle containing meshes and/or textures.
  2. Have one of the meshes or textures fail moderation.
  3. File an appeal for the failed asset.
  4. Wait for the asset to be approved and restored online.
  5. Check the bundle — it still shows “Failed Moderation.”
  6. Attempt to publish — you cannot.
  7. Reupload the same bundle — Roblox charges another 750 Robux.

Expected behavior

Once all failed assets in a bundle are appealed and approved:

  • The bundle’s moderation status should automatically update.
  • The bundle should become publishable without requiring a reupload or additional payment.

What I don’t quite understand in this report is: if an asset in the bundle is moderated, you can’t even reach the point where you submit it for 750 Robux — the system will throw an error before that step, stating that a specific asset (by ID) failed moderation. So I’m not sure where the “extra 750 Robux” part comes into play.

Can you share which specific asset ID caused the upload error? And after that asset was restored via appeal, what exact error do you get when attempting to upload again?

Because in an ideal scenario, having a moderated asset should block the upload entirely — meaning the bundle shouldn’t have been uploaded at all unless all assets were approved. So this case seems to require more information to fully understand what’s happening.

When you publish a bundle roblox uploads all the mesh parts again: For example it will upload a “Torso”" DynamicHead" “LeftUpperArm”, every body part will be uploaded. If one of those gets moderated and then you appeal. And it gets approved roblox doesnt reinstate the bundle. Causing you to have to reupload the bundle to roblox.

This is not exactly a bug. If any dependency within the bundle is moderated, it results in the removal of the entire bundle. Instead of re-uploading the same bundle, you should attempt to restore it by following the steps outlined in this article: Appeal Your Content or Account Moderation.

The restoration of a mesh dependency does not automatically lead to the restoration of the entire bundle. The bundle requires further review and must be restored separately, similar to how classic t-shirts are not reinstated even if the appeal for the image is accepted. Although the only dependency for a classic t-shirt is the image, it is not restored. The same situation applies here.

Additionally, please note that the bundle violates Roblox’s Marketplace Policy as it includes shoes, gloves, and a complete dress, which bundles are not permitted to contain. This is why the bundle cannot be restored.

Bro, first off all stop clumping up my report. If something from the bundle gets declined and the mods approve an appeal, the bundle should go back online. I had to waste 750 robux to reupload after the mods approved the appeal for the torso.

Please stop clumping up my report, that violates the devforum rules, you are replying just to argue.

Also stop acting like a roblox mod, you have nothing useful to add.

When dependencies of a bundle get moderated, by design we request that you have the dependencies sorted first (mesh / textures appealed and approved first) and then appeal the bundle (if necessary).

This is a edge case in our systems around how the dependency is constructed or used in the avatar item and the sequence of appeals is the current design.

Please let us know a bundle id if this is not your case.
