This bug report is created separately following the reply in the thread below, as the issue discussed there is different and unrelated, but this issue is related to the one I am reporting here, which deserves its own report:
There are currently 2 bundles listed on the Roblox catalog that are still purchasable and wearable, despite having a moderated (deleted) head mesh dependency. The meshes used in these bundles have been moderated, which causes the avatar’s head to become fully invisible and not rendered when equipped. This creates an unintended “headless” effect.
Although the moderated assets themselves are not directly purchasable, they are critical dependencies of these bundles’ head components. Since the dependency is no longer accessible, the head fails to render completely.
Affected Bundles:
-
Void Black Half Head
Bundle: https://www.roblox.com/bundles/236192025972895/Void-Black-Half-Head
Mesh Dependency: https://create.roblox.com/store/asset/77990059102302/RenderMesh (moderated) -
Glass Half Head
Bundle: https://www.roblox.com/bundles/214838395855140/Glass-Half-Head
Mesh Dependency: https://create.roblox.com/store/asset/77990059102302/RenderMesh (moderated)
As shown below, the dependency has been moderated. This causes the bundle to render a completely invisible head for users who equip it, since the 3D asset responsible for the visual is removed from the platform.
Reproduction Steps:
-
Go to the Roblox catalog and locate one of the affected bundles, for example:
-
Purchase and equip the bundle on your avatar, or alternatively, use a catalog avatar testing game to try it out.
-
Observe that the head part does not render and appears completely invisible.
-
Inspect the bundle’s head mesh dependency asset (e.g. RenderMesh) and observe that it has been moderated (deleted), which causes the head to become fully invisible when equipped.
Expected behavior
- Bundles with missing or moderated core dependencies (e.g., meshes for head parts) should not remain listed or available for purchase in the catalog.
- Such bundles should be removed until all associated assets (dependencies) are fully restored.
- If a dependency gets moderated while the bundle is still listed, the bundle should be automatically delisted until an appeal is submitted and the dependency is restored.
- Additional preventive measures should be implemented to avoid further exploitation of this behavior to simulate “headless” avatars.
