Calastar | Game Rules

Welcome to the official game rules for Calastar.
These rules are currently enforced by the moderation team. Though there is one really important rule which isn’t listed below, use common sense! These rules are holistic, if you think what you are doing may not be allowed, but isn’t said below, just don’t do it.

Do note that these rules apply in all games under the Calastar group, not just Riverview.

Moderation Team

Enforcement of the rules is done by the Development and Administration team. They are here to ensure that there is a safe environment for all ages and members of our community. They can enforce major rules on any team, but when they are on-duty they will be on the Development & Administration team. While on-duty, D&A is immune from all roleplay, but this also means they cannot take part in any roleplay as a criminal or law enforcement officer.

Major Offences

Below is a list of major offenses. They are deemed major as they have a major effect on gameplay, or are a major nuisance to other players. In these cases, an immediate ban is warrantable, unless otherwise stated.

  • Exploiting - Self-explanatory. This is a permanent ban unless proven otherwise (you will need clear video evidence to appeal this action)
  • Roblox Terms of Service Violation - Self-explanatory. Same punishment as exploiting.
  • Team tool abuse/Going rogue - Going rogue on any team will result in a non-permanent ban, unless its a repeat offence. This includes any gamepass teams, such as the PCSO team.

Other Offences

  • Leaving/Resetting/Switching Team to avoid arrest - Sometimes abbreviated to LTAA/RTAA respectively. This is normally done by new players of the game, who are unaware of the rules, therefore firstly a warning is given. If this continues to happen, you will be arrested in-game, either by a moderator or by the arresting officer. Repeated offenses will result in a non-permanent ban.
  • Spawn Killing/Arresting - The spawn area is labeled as the area/room in which a player spawns, which is different for every team. You will firstly be warned about this offense, then banned if it continues to happen.
  • Glitching - This is normally where you abuse unrealistic parts of the game, which are not meant to happen. You will firstly be warned, then kicked if you continue. Any glitches should be reported to the Development Team to be resolved.
  • Playing excessively loud/annoying/bypassed/inappropriate audios - If this is done, the person should first be warned, then if continued a kick. You cannot be banned for this offense.

Appealing a Moderation Action

If you believe that a moderation action taken against you was inappropriately applied or not neccessary, you can appeal it to a member of the Administration Committee. All moderators are required to provide some form of evidence in every case (preferably video), and this evidence will be made available to you if requested. If there is no evidence assigned to your case, and the moderator has provided no reason to explain this, then the Administration Committee may automatically appeal your case (but this is up to their discretion.) If you are unhappy with the response provided by the Administration Committee, it can be brought forward to the Group Manager, who can assist you further. Please note, we have every right to decline your appeal if we believe the moderation action was neccessary.

If you have further questions regarding these rules, you can ask a Moderator or a member of the Administration Committee, and they should be able to assist you further. Please note, these rules are subject to change at any time, so make sure you keep an eye on this.
